With a military career spanning several decades, Maldonado entered the Military Cadet School in 1977 and held significant positions, including Commander of the Eighth Division, where he was responsible for maintaining public order in various regions of the country. Additionally, his academic background includes degrees in Military Sciences, Engineering, and a master's degree in security and defense, marking him as a committed military professional both on the battlefield and in education.
