The ELN has issued an open letter to the Colombian government, expressing concern over the state of the Peace Process, which has significantly deteriorated due to the government's failure to fulfill agreements. According to the guerrilla group, the current government, elected with the support of popular sectors demanding change, has chosen to ally with the oligarchy and has disregarded the agreements reached at the Dialogue Table.

The letter states that the government's non-compliance with agreements has led to a crisis in the negotiation process. The ELN has indicated that despite their efforts to rectify the situation, the government has responded with disinformation and an aggressive policy. In particular, the guerrilla group criticizes the recent decision not to extend the ceasefire, which the ELN had generously prolonged for an additional 20 days, resulting in the resumption of offensive operations against them.

The ELN also criticizes the government's failure to comply with previous agreements, such as the commitment to remove the group from the list of Organized Armed Groups (GAOS), which they believe reflects a lack of willingness on the part of the government to advance in dialogue.

Despite the crisis, the ELN has expressed its willingness to meet with the government’s Dialogue Delegation, with the participation of guarantor countries, to address the current situation of the peace process. Additionally, the group has denounced a media campaign that seeks to manipulate the legacy of the ELN's Commander-in-Chief, Camilo Torres Restrepo, and has requested that his memory not be used for publicity purposes.
